Quintette asks writers five quick questions. This week’s interview is with Nicole Flockton!

1. What’s the name of your latest story – and how hard was it to pick a title?
Trapped by Cupid – It’s part of an anthology called Melt My Heart. I didn’t choose the anthology name but as my story has a Valentine Day’s theme and the characters get stuck in an elevator I thought Trapped by Cupid worked well.
2. If you could choose anyone from any time period, who would you cast as the leads in your latest story?
My hero Noah would be played by Chris Pine. And my heroine, well, she’d be played by Leighton Meester.
3. What five words best describe your story?
Flirty fun with sexy doc!
4. Who is your favourite fictional couple?
At the moment one of my favorite couples would be Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler from The Big Bang Theory. Their romance is so quirky and fun and I love seeing the slow growth development between the couples.
5. What song always makes you cry?
Amazing Grace – doesn’t matter who sings it, I always cry. It sounds so beautiful when it’s played by a bagpipe band. There is something so haunting about the bagpipes.
(Narrelle’s note: my eldest brother plays the pipes, and played this piece at our Nanna’s funeral. It has a special place in my heart.)
About Nicole:
On her very first school report her teacher said ‘Nicole likes to tell her own stories’. It wasn’t until after the birth of her daughter and after having fun on the community board of eharlequin.com that she finally decided to take the plunge and write a book. The stories she writes are contemporary romances with either a medical setting or in the boardrooms of high powered business. Nicole enjoys taking two characters and creating unique situations for them.
Apart from writing Nicole is busy looking after her very own hero – her wonderfully supportive husband, and her two fabulous kids.
